Bruce E. Lagerquist Obituary
We announce the death of Bruce E. Lagerquist of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Bruce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Bruce will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Bruce will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Bruce’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lagerquist and Beverly Lagerquist; his wife Marie; and his sister Kathy McCabe. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Simmons (Ryan) of Amarillo and Hannah Lagerquist of Amarillo; his sisters, Janet Jensen (Don) of Oregon and Karen Thompson (Scott) of Idaho; and his grandsons, Isaiah Simmons and Josiah Simmons (Aliyah).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the LifePoint Fellowship (7601 Canyon Dr, Amarillo, TX 79110).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in memory of Bruce Lagerquist.
