He was predeceased by: his parents, George Perry Hunt and Florence Hunt Barbour (Preston); his daughter Camala Cary; and his siblings, Eddie Hunt and Reta Gumper.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley of Amarillo, TX; his daughter Christi of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Nicolas Martinez, T. J. Hunt, Justin Johnson (Lesa), Raven Hunt (Deon), Jeremiah Johnson (Sarah) and Christopher Barrett II (Candice); his great grandchildren, Shaylynn, Mezmyriah and Ayana; and also, Keyonna, Chenea and Chelayziah.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rector Funeral Home (2800 S Osage St, Amarillo, TX 79103). A memorial service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
