It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Candy Root of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Willingham and Marilea Coats; her grandson Kaiden Dodgen; and her brother Billy Coats. She is survived by: her husband Greg Root; her sisters, Cindy Morse (Steve), Denise Oldham and Melody Beal; her uncle Dennis Willingham (Teresa); her daughter Leah Wesley (Kincy); her grandson Jackson Russell; her sisters, Cindy Getschow (George) and Holly Schreur (Mike); her nieces and nephews, Richard Root and Berry Root (Heather); her great-nephews, Jackson and Samuel; and her nieces and nephews, Alexis Ellis and Jonathon Parker Root. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
