Caroline Gurule Obituary
The memory of Caroline Gurule in Amarillo, Texas, born in Tres Piedras, New Mexico, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 66, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Elizar Valdez and Bernadina Martinez; her stepmother Rosa Valdez; her grandparents, Estevan and Manuelita Gurule; her parents, Gilbert Gurule and Bernadina Gurule (Ina); her siblings, Edward Gurule and Peggy Ann Gurule; and her nephew Carlos Gurule.
She is survived by: her sons, Fernando Gurule (Rachel) of Ancones, NM and Jerome Gurule (Michelle) of Amarillo, TX.; her grandchildren, Elliana Gurule, Michael Sandoval (Jenelle), Mario Sandoval, Kenneth Sandoval-Busher (Joseph) and Raymond Salinas (Santana); her brothers, Silviano "Silver" Gurule (Barbara) and Ernest Gurule (Gail); and her cousin Vangie Chavez. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rivera Family Funeral Home. A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at the Valdez. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Carole moved back to Ojo Caliente to help care for her ailing mother.
