She was predeceased by: her parents, Rujelio Torrez and Petra "Betty" Torrez (Ramirez); and her brothers, Andrew, Johnny, Raymond and Chris Torrez.
She is survived by: her husband John Ortega; her children, Natasha, Ruben, Paul and Sammie Rodriguez of Amarillo; and her siblings, Tomas of La Junta, Teddy of La Junta, Andrea Torrez of La Junta, Rita Frazier of La Junta and Ramona Torrez of Oklahoma. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
