He is survived by: his mother Wilma Hicks; his wife Kim Hicks; his children, Amanda Tran (Tuyen Tran) of Pearland, TX, Melissa Hicks of Amarillo, TX and Justin Hicks; his sister Barbara Anderson of Holly Springs, NC; his grandchildren, Addyson Leyva, Isla Tran and Kai Tran; his niece Kristin Smith (Jeff Smith) of Holly Springs, NC; and his great-nephews, Ashley Smith and Sterling Smith.
