He is survived by: his wife Diana Loe; his children, David Manuel Johnson, Jr. (Jessica) of St. Albans, Daniel Johnson (Lauren) of Lubbock, Dionna Johnson of Amarillo and Deja Johnson (Jimmy Stover Jr.) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Bay Leigh Johnson, Lilith Johnson, Aleyna Stover, Jimmy Michael Stover III, Jeremiah Johnson, Persephone Johnson and Daven Stover; and his siblings, Tommy Johnson (Minnie) of Littlefield, Katherine Thrower (Lonnie) of Denton, Kenneth Johnson (Debbie) of Portland, Brenda Wilborn of Arlington, Kalem Shaheed (Raychael) of Wylie, Glenn Johnson (Rhonda) of Portales and Delores Johnson-Pouncy (Eric) of Katy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Warford Rose Chapel (509 N Hughes St, Amarillo, TX 79107). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral (1200 S Washington St, Amarillo, TX 79102).
