He was predeceased by: his parents, Erby Yates and Cordie Cotton; and his wife Joy Charleen Yates. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Yates (Adina) and Kandi Dolan of Milwaukee, WI; and his siblings, Wanda and Philip. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
