She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Adams and Anna Mae Beckner. She is survived by: her husband Ted Vardell of Amarillo; her sons, Gary Allen (Dana DeVries) of San Antonio, Michael Allen (Karen) of Amarillo and Larry Allen (Jill) of Canyon, Texas; her stepchildren, Steven Vardell of Amarillo, Joel Vardell of Amarillo and Julie Loughmiller (Rob) of Houston; and her grandchildren, Zury Loughmiller, Elias Loughmiller, Drayson Loughmiller, Brandon Fleming, Thunder Bay Allen, Paul Allen, Renee Howard, Lindsey Chesser and Cassey Lemon. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lagrone Blackburn Funeral Home (Coulter Chapel) (8310 Coulter St S, Amarillo, TX 79119). Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
