He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Johnston and Helen Johnston (Brown); and his grandson Drew Friemel. He is survived by: his wife Donna Johnston; his daughter Alecia (Fred Friemel); his grandchildren, Malari (Kevin Casas), Hope (Blake Acton), Katie (Riley McCollum), Dillon Friemel and Garrett Friemel; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Acton and Tripp McCollum.
