Gene Leavelle Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Leavelle of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Roma Lea Leavelle (Thornton) of Amarillo; his wife Joyce Loretta Hoover Leavelle of Houston; his father Virgil Leavelle; his siblings, Harold Leavelle (Virginia) of Parker, Wallace Leavelle (Betty) of Irving and Betty Jo Leavelle Kendrick (Clinton) of Arvada, Colorado; his children, Judy Key of Pflugerville, Janet Leavelle of Pflugerville, Janie Tanner (Randel) of Bertram, Jackie Gabbart (Randy) of Austin and Jim Leavelle (Amy) of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Blake Scott, Ryan Davino, Dustin Davino, Joshua Tanner, Eric Tanner, Travis Key, Neil Gabbart, Stephanie Scott, Ashley Wiggins and Carlin Leavelle; and his great grandchildren, Daeni, Asher Scott, Braeden, Kinley Scott, Clara Gabbart, Wyatt Head-Gabbart and Tomi Jo Tanner. He was also cherished by extended family and friends.
