She was predeceased by: her son John Robert Van Marter; and her siblings, Wendy Suzanne Johnson and Richard William Jeffers. She is survived by: her sons, Eric Wiliam Van Marter and Scott Lyle Van Marter (Fala Dawn Van); her granddaughter Kyra Ann Van Marter; and her brother-in-law Paul Eric Johnson of South Kingston, RI. She is also survived by three nieces.
In lieu of flowers she requested that donation be made in her name to (RAINN) National Sexual Abuse Hotline.
