With sadness, we share the passing of Glenda Whitaker Sain of Amarillo, Texas. Glenda, born on February 21, 1933, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Moore and Melba Moore; her husbands, Robert Whitaker and Thurman Sain; her son Randy Whitaker; and her siblings, Josephine Howe and Jim Moore.
She is survived by: her son Roger Whitaker (Sherri); her grandson Troy (Falon Whitaker); her children, Shelly Andrews, Chad Chambliss (Monica Gerber) and Chelsea Cutbirth (Cullen); her daughter-in-law Melinda; her grandchildren, Lindsay Whitaker and Ross Whitaker; her son Rodney Whitaker (Stephanie); and her grandchildren, Sara Beth Crowley, LaShea Whitaker, Nathan Whitaker, Victoria Dart and Miranda Henderson. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories (6969 E Interstate 40 Hwy, Amarillo, TX 79118). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
