He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Diaz and Carman Diaz (Baca); and his siblings, Bernardo Diaz (Benny), Luis Diaz (Leeche), Frank B Diaz (Pancho), Johnny Diaz (Billy Goat), Enrique Diaz (Ricky), Tomas Diaz, Cecilia Garcia (Chico), Antonia Lopez (Tonia), Eloisa Diaz, Andrea Hernandez (Juana), Esther Diaz and Lupita Diaz.

He is survived by: his daughter Eloisa Gonzales; and his siblings, Esther Lopez (Peachie), Raymond Diaz (Mono), Carmen Diaz, Cruz Aragon, Catalina Mendoza (Cathy), Emilio Diaz (Joe Bravo) and Mary Diaz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
