He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie C. Blackshear and Eva Blackshear; his stepmother Winnie; and his brother William. He is survived by: his children, Kari Blackshear, Harry "Cotton" Blackshear, Jr. and Kree Kelley (Tanya); his grandchildren, McKenzi, McKynna, Raylee and Slade; his sister Martha Morton (Kelly); his niece Tami; and his nephew Neil (Becky).
