She was predeceased by: her father George Woodrow Brooks; her husband Charles Chambers; her mother Fannie Cordell Mitchell; and her siblings, Alton Kent Brooks and Doris Ann Brooks Woods.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gina McCown (David), Tonya Malson (Matt) and Dell Williams; her grandchildren, Chloe Strickland (Dylan), Claire McCown, Madison Rasnake (Blake) and Nicole Williams; her siblings, Delbert "Butch" Brooks (Carol), Margaret Covey and Vicki Jackson; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Shelton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
