He was predeceased by: his father I. T. Demerson; his son Omar Rubio; and his brother Elijah Drone. He is survived by: his mother Rosie Nell Edwards; and his siblings, Barbara Hunter, Chris Drone-Bogus and Christopher Drone. He is also survived by two grandsons, and a granddaughter, and a host of family and friends.
A wake was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Missionary Baptist Church (103 South 10th Street, Lamesa, TX 79331).
