He was predeceased by: his parents, Glendell DeVaney and Bernadine DeVaney (Fawcett); his brothers, David "Dave" DeVaney, John DeVaney, Glendell Joe DeVaney and Ralph DeVaney; his brother-in-law Chris Campbell; his nephew David Wayne DeVaney; and his granddaughter Christy Ann Breece.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Bentley; his children, Liane (Mark Scaggs), James "Jim Jim" DeVaney (Debi), Leon DeVaney (DeAllen), Kelli Bentley and Sean Bentley (Teri); his sister Edith Campbell; his sisters-in-law, Joyce DeVaney (John), Louise DeVaney (Dave) and Rayetta DeVaney (Ralph); his grandchildren, Stephen DeVaney (Hillary), Michael Murphy, Jessica DeVaney, Deon DeVaney, DeAnnette DeVaney, Donny Smith and A. J. Smith; and his great grandchildren, Treyton, Jayden, Nathanial, Odin, Ollie and Moyra.
