We are sad to announce that, on April 15, 2022, at the age of 85, James Edward Ackley of Amarillo, Texas, born in Garden City, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Edward Ackley to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ackley and Inez Ackley; and his siblings, William R. Ackley, Leroy Ackley and Joetta Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ackley of Amarillo; his children, Alan W. Ackley of Colorado Springs and Sheryl L. Mackey (Brett) of Amarillo; his sister Naomi Denton of San Antonio; and his grandchildren, Cameron Ackley (Courtney), Aaron Ackley, Nathan Ackley and Katie Mackey Barber (Steven). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and suggests memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Childcare, 5005 W Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX 79106, in honor of the James Edward Ackley family.
