James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Everett and Lavona Blucher; his grandchildren, Ashley and Abby Blucher; his brother Gary; and his sister-in-law Linda.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Blucher and Donnie Blucher of Amarillo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Amarillo - Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (14200 I-27, Amarillo, TX 79119).
