He was predeceased by: his mother Nadine Brown. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Franklin (Cartwright) of Amarillo; his children, Traci Franklin of Cedar Springs, Michigan and Scott Franklin (Lori) of Plainview, Texas; his grandchildren, Jessicca Johnson, Brittany Nichols, Emily Franklin, Timothy Franklin and Zachary Franklin; his great grandchild Josef Johnson; his sisters, Trudy Franklin (Mike Cantu) and Terri Klock (Steve Hart); and his aunt Maybelle Buchanan. He is also survived by nine cousins; and numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry would best be honored by donations to the Missions Account of South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia, Amarillo, TX.
