He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Jackson and Norma Jackson; his brother Johnny Jackson; and his nephew Bobby Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Jerry Jackson, Jr. of Canyon, TX, Rhonda Barker (Mike) of San Antonio, TX, Tammy Lathrop of Waynesville, Krystal James (Jimmie) of Amarillo and Anya Clayton (Tim) of Tyler, TX; his sisters, Jo Rodriguez and Gale Carlson of Amarillo, TX; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Copeland (Brian) of Lawton, OK and Cindy Evans of Raymondville, MO. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
