It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joab Jackson Perdue of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Perdue and Willie Perdue; his former wife Barbara Bell Perdue; his children, Jacquelyn Thompson, James and Jay Perdue; his siblings, James T. Perdue, William D. Perdue (Neta) and Sallie Lois Perdue; his grandson Jeffrey Brown; and his great grandchild Jevon Boney.
He is survived by: his wife June Monroe; his daughters, Jayna Anglen (Russell), Jennifer Perdue and Cynthia Griffin; his children-in-law, Vicki Perdue and Jim Thompson; his nephews, Tommy Perdue (Penny) and William Perdue (Deana); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dee, Gary and Kenneth Monroe; and his extended family, Charee Knauth (Ronnie) and Jason Welch. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, their spouses and families, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
