It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnne Averett of Amarillo, Texas, born in Littlefield, Texas, who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Reese Fite and Marion Alline Davis Fite; her sister Virgie; her former husband Charlie; and her son David Dean Burfield.
She is survived by: her daughter Michele (Bryan Mappe) of Friendswood, Texas.; her husband Paul Averett of Amarillo; and her grandchildren, David Lee Burfield of Amarillo, Kyle Tanner Burfield of Pennsylvania, Alexis Alyce Burfield of Amarillo, Tyler, Kait of Austin, Trevor, Alyssa of Friendswood, Trey Mappe of Friendswood and Lizzy Neal of Tennessee.
