He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Burleson and Geneva Burleson; his brother Jerry Burleson; his granddaughter Bailey Hegwood; and his great grandchild Silas Burleson.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Burns; his children, Tammy Harmon (Wade), John Burleson Jr. (Leah) and Sherri Hegwood (Mike); and his grandchildren, Ethan, Cole, Dillon, John Michael, Chris, Chase, Haley and Michael Scott.
