He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Loftin and Mildred Loftin (Hardy). He is survived by: his wife Patti Loftin; his children, Heather Loftin Neeley (Warren Perkins) of Amarillo and Kevin Loftin of Corpus Christi; his stepdaughter Mikka Clear (Gregg) of Amarillo; his sister Carol Nicholson of Olton; and his grandchildren, Taylor Neeley, Dalton Clear (Mallorie), Payton Clear (Sofia) and Kenton Clear (Autumn). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the John Loftin Endowment for Women's Basketball at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
