With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Patrick Connell (Amarillo, Texas), born in Cuero, Texas, who passed away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew "Drew" Connell and Gracie June Connell. He is survived by: his son John Matthew; his wife Betty Connell; his children, Matt Connell (Becky Connell), Melinda Wight (Michael Wight) and Mark Connell; and his siblings, Otis Owen Connell, Roger Connell, Evelyn Van Deventer, Ann Barnhart and Susan Booth. He is also survived by his four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Hope House in Lubbock, TX which served as a blessing to John and Betty during a difficult time.
