He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Urenda, Sr. and Cordelia Urenda,; and his brother Manuel Urenda, Jr.. He is survived by: his friend Andy Solano; his wife Beatres; his children, Anita (Cade Harris) of Fort Worth, Texas, Manuel Urenda III (Adrianna) of Amarillo and John Urenda, Jr. of Amarillo; his grandsons, Tristen Urenda (Brittani), Andrew "AJ" Urenda of Amarillo and Christian Urenda of Kansas City, Missouri; his siblings, Sylvia "Moona" Urenda, Melissa Urenda and Simon Urenda, Sr. of Amarillo; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Castro (Nabor) of Amarillo, Olivia Castro of Amarillo, Olga Paredez of Levelland and Fred Gonzales (Margaret) of Levelland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step grandchildren, extended family.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amarillo - Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1210 SE 11th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79102).
