She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Flores and Aurora Flores; her daughter-in-law Kay Romero; and her siblings, Alice, Joe and Roy.

She is survived by: her husband Antonio Barrera of Amarillo, TX; her children, Mary Romero (Jesus Aguirre) of Amarillo, TX, Jimmy Romero of Hot Springs, AR, Tina Romero of Amarillo, TX, David Romero of Amarillo, TX and Javier Barrera (Jennifer) of Carrolton, TX; and her siblings, Gilbert Gutierrez of Abilene, TX, Louie Herrera of Amarillo, TX and Christina Velasco (Abel) of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amarillo - Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109). A Mass was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1210 SE 11th Ave, Amarillo, TX 79102).
