She was predeceased by: her parents, James Strickland and Ethel Strickland; her son Jeff Nelson; and her brother Bo Strickland. She is survived by: her pets, Jodie and Willie Nelson; her husband George Nelson; her children, Danny Bates (Cheryl) of Eagle, NE, Robert Nelson (Wendi) of Amarillo, Matthew Nelson (Stephanie Andrews) of Amarillo and Susan Andrews (Jay) of Amarillo; her daughter-in-law Becky Nelson of Amarillo; and her sister Judy Tipton of Lubbock. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
