She was predeceased by: her parents, Oree Whitt Skinner Johnson and Henry Lee Skinner; her husband Olen Elmore Rains; and her siblings, Adell, Imogene, Leroy, Dean, Benny and Phil.
She is survived by: her friends, Bub, Georgia Sparks, Herschel, Ruth Black, Dean, Marry Herring, Jim and Dorothy Mercer; her children, Elizabeth Rains and Douglas Rains of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Danielle Mulherin (Matt) of Amarillo and Andrew Lookingbill (Jaqui) of Carney's Point; and her great grandchildren, Dallen, Everitt, Liam, Noah and Bella.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lagrone Blackburn Funeral Home (Coulter Chapel) (8310 Coulter St S, Amarillo, TX 79119). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (14200 I-27, Amarillo, TX 79119).
