He was predeceased by: his parents, A. B. Hunt and Geneva Owens; his stepmother Gladys Hunt; and his nephews, Jason Hunt and Bradley Hunt.

He is survived by: his son Christopher Hunt (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Sophia Hunt and Lukas Hunt; his brothers, Darrell Hunt (Tammye Hunt) and Glenn Hunt; his aunt Lucille Likin; his stepsister Lynell O'Leary; his nieces, Jennifer Grimes and Aubrie Hunt; and his nephew Brent Hunt.
