She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl McClung and Velma McClung; and her sister Karen Elkins. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth L. Mitchell; her children, Brian L. Mitchell (Rosa) of Elkhart, Brent A. Mitchell (Debra) of Kechi and Kendra L. Ramsey (Cory) of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Jordan Mitchell, Audrey Thomas (John), Dillon Mitchell (Ashleigh), Brandon Mitchell (Hannah), Cameron Mitchell, Jaden Mitchell, Ryan Ramsey (DeAnna), Madison Ramsey and Luke Ramsey; and her great grandchild Everleigh Mitchell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elkhart - Garnand Funeral Home (514 Kansas St, Elkhart, KS 67950). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of God (306 Morton St, Elkhart, KS 67950).
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund in Elkhart, Kansas, or to the Morton County Library in Elkhart, Kansas, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, P.O. Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950., two institutions that were close to Linda's heart and that she served faithfully for so many years.
