He was predeceased by: his parents, Feliciano "Felix" Ortiz and Dolores Ortiz (Leal); and his siblings, Severiano, Armando, Felix, Joe and Angie Moreno.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Trancoso; his children, Louis Ortiz, Jr. (Isabel), Jason Ortiz (Princess Lewis), Sam Casillas, Jim Casillas (CeCe), Jenifer Palomo (Jose), Yolanda Ortiz (Sam), Frances Cruz (Frank), Connie Netro (Fidel) and Mary Cruz (Julio); and his stepchildren, Jose Juan Ruiz, Jose Manuel Trancoso, Miguel Angel Corrion and Emily Isabel Trancoso. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 9 Great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family.
