She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth "Dot" Carter and Spencer Carter. She is survived by: her husband Harry Charles Gilbert; her sons, Barry Gerald Gilbert (Amy) of Amarillo and Harry Stephen Gilbert (Mindy) of Richmond, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jeremy Gilbert (Emily) of Amarillo, Allison Looper of Amarillo, Samuel Gilbert of Lexington, Stephen Spencer Gilbert of Lexington and Kailey Gilbert of Richmond; and her great grandchildren, James and Maggie Gilbert of Amarillo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Operation Christmas Child.
