It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Carter of Amarillo, Texas, born in Waverly, Tennessee, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Buchanan and Maltie Buchanan; and her sons, Jerry Buchanan, Kenneth Carson and Lin Buchanan.

She is survived by: her children, Gene Buchanan of Amarillo and Jennifer Stagner of Amarillo. She is also survived by several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
