In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Atchley and Eva Jean Rhodes Atchley; his brother Gary Don Atchley; and his close friend Frank Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Atchley; his children, Michelle Jolly (Bryan), Jody Atchley, Jason Mays (Sara), Justin Mays and Amber Pacheco (Daniel); and his pet Sammy. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
