It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Nelson Wells of Amarillo, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his wife Darlene Wells; his sister Janiel Wells of Livingston, TX; his children, Blake Ogilvie of Houston, TX and Amanda Wells of Fairfax, CA; his stepchildren, Teri Kelly (Ron Perkes) of Novato, CA, Bridget Owens (Tom) of Green Valley, AZ, Michael McCaullum of Bryan, TX, Tonya Freeman (Wilson) of Amarillo, TX, Randa Scott (Michael) of Austin, TX and Jenny McBride of Columbus, OH; his grandchildren, Cleo Mae Wells-Frey, Tanner Hankamer, Pamala Barrie, Paige McBride, Aram Sapien, Ashley Sapien, Robert Nelson Devivo, Anthony Devivo, Ayliza Sinclair, Brooke Ogilvie, Carson Ogilvie, Cameron Ogilvie, Brayden Ogilvie, Berkley Baggett, Wils Freeman and Lena Scott; and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Sophia and Charlotte.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors - Amarillo (2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79109).
