He was predeceased by: his father Reinhold Max Borchardt; his siblings, Kenneth Ray Borchardt and Opal Winona Williams; and his son-in-law Cliff Martin. He is survived by: his wife Neva Dean Borchardt; and his children, Rodney Borchardt (Ella) of Amarillo, Lynn Borchardt (Brenda) of Amarillo and Annetta Borchardt Martin of Amarillo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
