It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Richardson of Amarillo, Texas, born in Friona, Texas, who passed away on February 2, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Preach Collier and Frances Collier; her husband James Smiley Richardson; her children, Robert Rule, Wendy Rule and Saundra Rule; and her brother Darrell Collier.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Hoelting (Randy) of Amarillo, Tonya Boroughs (Billy) of Springville, Dollie Young of Hattiesburg Mississippi, Peggy Lynn Jones (Ron) of Lubbock, James Richardson (Jami) of Hattiesburg and Duke Ashe (Sheila) of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Sarah Terbursh (Joshua), Saundra Hoelting, Brent Boroughs, Brandon Boroughs (Kaley), Donovan Young, Sierra Young, Kylee Hernandez, Christina McCravey, Jessica Hodge (John) and Justin Ashe; and her great grandchildren, Averie, Luke, Levi and Mallory.
