He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Herich and Marie Herich; his sister Violet (Herich); his brother-in-law Pete Winandy; his brother Arnold; and his sister-in-law Laurel Herich.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Herich (Snodgrass); his brother Emil Herich; his children, Bob (Deb Herich), Phil (Kathy Herich), Karl and Deb Ondersma (Herich); his great grandchildren, Jared, Kristen, Carlie, Matt, Lauren, Jordan Thomas (Brianne), Mikayla and Victor Blomberg; his grandchildren, Kirsten Herich, Ashley, Israel Castellanos, Hunter, Anna Herich, Kip, Sarah Herich, Audrey Ondersma, Leah Ondersma and Ike Ondersma; his siblings-in-law, Ann Jenkins of Amarillo and Roy Snodgrass (Joan) of Austin, TX; his niece Patty Masse (Vince) of Arlington Heights; and his pet Chancellor. He is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
