He was predeceased by: his father Jose Lucero; his brothers, Jeremy Lucero, Virgil Lucero and Odie Garza; his nieces, Savannah Zepeda and Marissa Garza; and his father-in-law Jesse Zepeda.
He is survived by: his mother Norma Lucero of Amarillo; his wife Theresa Lucero; his children, Miranda Rodriguez (Victor) of Anna, Anthony Gavina (Laura) of Amarillo, Mark Gavina of Amarillo and Megan Lucero of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Rosalie Gavina, Zion Gavina and Noah Rodriguez; and his siblings, Nelda Lucero of Amarillo, Freddy Garza (Laura) of Hereford and Josh Lucero (Chasity) of Albuquerque, NM..
