She is survived by: her siblings, Christine Nickerson of Amarillo, O. D. Nickerson Jr. (Nellie Mae) of Amarillo, Cecil Nickerson of Amarillo, Sandra Nickerson of Dallas, Leonard Nickerson of Covina and Vernon Nickerson of Inglewood, California; and her great grandchildren, Sigmund Gilbreath, Sonieya Gilbreath and Amira McDonald.

She was on the board of the Childress County Child Welfare and the American Cancer Society.
