Ruperto is survived by: children, Gilberto (Filomena Navarrete), Angel (Nora Navarrete), Martha (Alfredo Rodriguez) and Emilia (Luis Limas); and grandchildren, Rosie, Margarita, Gilberto Jr., Angel Jr., Monica, Veronica, Crystal, Sylvia, Victoria, Manuel, Ruben, Abel, Anna, Liandro, Rogelio, Luis and Lidia. Ruperto is also survived by 51 great-grandchildren.
