He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Batt and Hulda Meier Batt; his wife Laurie Batt; and his siblings, Lelyn Batt, George Batt, Paul Batt, Rosie Pope, Margaret Heil and Charlotte Brooks.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Nichols of Oklahoma and Pauline Ditto (Dale) of Oklahoma; his sons, Paul Cross of Dallas, Darren Batt (Lisa) of Woodward, Okla and Robert Batt of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Sean Batt (Sydnee), Hunter Batt (Bethany), Brittney Wheeler (Noah), Amanda Batt and Lacie Dawson (Marc); his great grandchildren, Brayleigh, Gyntry, Dawson, Parker, Zane and Micah; and his close friend Rusty.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rector Funeral Home (2800 S Osage St, Amarillo, TX 79103).
