He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Neil Ferguson and Virginia Lee Swaffar Ferguson; his sister Lawanda McWilliams; his daughter Amie Kuykendall; his brothers, Bruce and Roy Ferguson; and his grandson AlVee Woodard.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Moore; his son Eric Ferguson; his daughter-in-law Pati Garza-Ferguson of San Antonio; and his stepsons, Michael Woodard of Indianapolis, Sean Woodard (Misty) of San Diego and Eric Woodard of Indianapolis. He is also survived by family, Tommy leaves behind eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
