He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newman and Norene Newman. He is survived by: his wife Beverley; his sister Lana Grimes (George); his sons, Charlie (Larissa), Michael (Stacy) and JD; and his grandchildren, Bryson, Beau, Danlee, Dean, Fincher and Laurel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum.
