She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Sr. Johnson and Clara Lee Johnson (Smith); her daughter Theoana Nash; and her siblings, Homer Johnson, Jr., Rubbie Shannon Phea and William Arnold Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Ykevia Johnson of Amarillo, Texas and Terry Thomas of Hereford, Texas; her grandchildren, Amir Kareem, Rasheed Kareem and Polo Johnson; and her siblings, JoLynn Johnson of Maples, Eliza Ruth Stewart of Dallas, Texas and Robb Crain of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Veatrice served with the Knights Association in Amarillo, donating bikes to kids for good grades, in remembrance of her brother in 1996.
