He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Ruiz and Maria Lemos Ruiz. He is survived by: his wife Sonia Vela of Amarillo; his children, Victor Ruiz II of Childress and Aryanna Angelique Ruiz of Clovis, N. M.; his siblings, Cipriano Ruiz (Priscilla) of Memphis, Angelina Ruiz Jones (Jason) of Amarillo and Arthur Lee Trevino; his nieces, Gabriella Pickens, Samantha Ruiz, Emma Ruiz, Jailina Maria Jones and Sabrina Leyann Ruiz; his grandchildren, Beckham Ramos and Ellie Ramos; and his stepdaughters, Dayna Vela and Selena Garibaldi.
