Wanda Perkins Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Perkins of Amarillo, Texas, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith and Vera Brown Smith; her husband Sam A. Perkins; and her siblings, Edith Smith, Lorene Newman, Lotis Smith, Christine DeGregorio and Jack Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, Derrill Perkins (Delores) of Amarillo and Chester Perkins of McMinnville, OR.; her grandsons, Glyn Perkins (Rae) and Micah Perkins (Hope) of Amarillo; her great grandchildren, Leah, Taylor, Kayla, Lauren, Lilly, Danni and Saber; her brother Earl Smith of El Paso; and her sister-in-law Helen Nunn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She taught the ladies Sunday School class at Eastridge Baptist Church into her 90's until Covid in 2020.
